Provenance only; analysis on leslie-milab-experiencer. Relevance: a firsthand account (+ corroborating commenters) of Melinda Leslie’s commercial Sedona “UFO tour” — the business mechanics the Leslie page flags as career-aligned: $75/person, guaranteed sightings or refund, objects only visible through her night-vision goggles (3rd-gen ATN PVS7) and not recordable, max 10 people; she also sells the goggles via her Sedona New Age Store (a commenter flags an apparent inflated-”retail” markup); she also works as a psychic. Includes the “are the goggles rigged / is it a scam?” skeptical thread and a reference to her Ross Coulthart interview.

I went on a UFO tour with Melinda Leslie

I’m not sure if any of you know who Melinda Leslie is, I didn’t before I met her and looked her up. Anyways I’m visiting Sedona, AZ which is known as a UFO hotspot. Melinda Leslie gives UFO tours and my brother and I went on one a couple nights ago. She taught us how to identify the difference between shooting stars, sattelites, human aircraft, and UFOs. We were only outside for maybe 2 hours and witnessed about 8 UFOs. However they were only visible with these fancy night vision goggles we were using. Only 2 or 3 of them were slightly visible with the naked eye to me, my younger brother, and one girl in the group about our age. We weren’t able to see any structure to the UFOs because they were so high in the sky. They basically looked like stars moving across the sky. Some fast, some slower, a couple zig zagged, some changed speed, and one came to a complete stop at one point. It was pretty spectacular. I was surprised because Melinda seemed very dissapointed. It was a cloudy night, but clear enough to see some stars and obviously a number of UFOs. She kept saying how it wasn’t the best night and typically she wants clear skies and would cancel on one night like tonight. She even offered everyone in the group a refund, but everyone wanted to stay because we were having fun and kept seeing things. She also offered for us to come back another night for free if the skies are clear. (Unfortunately it’s been cloudy here all week). She also began to talk to us about how she is an abductee and her story and experiences on that. I was very fascinated because I had never met anyone who claims to be an abductee so I asked her quite a few questions, trying to refrain from conducting a full on interview with her. She has a few videos and interviews on YouTube talking about her experiences and she explains everything almost word for word as she explained it to us. Her experiences are certainly far fetched and I find it hard to believe her, but harder not to believer her. She was just so normal and didn’t seem like she had any screws loose or anything. Hell even she was aware of how crazy it all sounded. Anyways I just wanted to share this experience and see if any of you guys have anything to say about it or any similar experiences or if any of you are familiar with Melinda Leslie.

u/cazzzidy (10): I am so happy to see this post. I also attended one of her tours in Sedona, Arizona and it was a very moving experience. I went out with a group of 6 or 8. It was relatively clear. Using the night vision goggles I was able to see high altitude UFOs that were barely visible to the naked eye. The most memorable involved two points of light, about the brightness of a faint star, coming towards each other, stopping, then zipping off in different directions. I was 100% certain that what I witnessed was not a traditional aircraft or satellite. The most probable explanation, if I’m being cynical, is some sort of high altitude drone program. Apparently they consistently appear in one area of the sky, which suggests to me that we are watching a phenomena that has a geographical origin on earth. We were also encouraged to point lasers at the object to try to induce communication. If what we were witnessing and lasering were indeed secret aircraft, I’m confident the operators know of her business and probably let her keep at it. That would be the Mirage Man thing to do. I’d suggest that the skeptics check themselves. This woman consistently delivers on her promise of witnessing high altitude anomalous objects. Not a week goes by that I don’t think about buying a 3rd gen night vision scope and picking up where I left off in the desert. The tour is awesome and everyone should do it.

u/[deleted] (2): Wow I wasn’t expecting someone in the comments to have experienced the same thing haha. That’s awesome I’m glad it was a positive and successful experience for you.

u/timmy242 (5): Does she (did you) happen to record the anomalous flights (zig zag, full stops)?

u/AlwaysBeNice (5): Check out ufolou on youtube, he films things this way I belief.

u/[deleted] (5): No, like I said they were only visible with the night vision goggles which didn’t have any recording capabilities. And the couple that I could see without the goggles were very difficult to see. The older adults in the group couldn’t see them and my phone camera, which is all I had on me, certainly wouldn’t have picked it up. And honestly I was so caught up in the moment I didn’t even think of recording anything haha. EDIT: As for Melinda, she didn’t record anything and I didn’t think to ask her if she ever had in the past. I should have. She said she has had 11 (out of about 500) tours where they could see UFOs low enough to see the structure. I wonder if she or anyone in the group recorded those.

u/Nixplosion (2): This is actually really fascinating to me! Id be interested in checking that out!

u/[deleted] (3): Well if you’re ever in Sedona and the skies are clear I really recommend it! The experience actually made me want to buy a pair of night vision goggles myself so I can look for UFOs on my own. It was even cool just to see so many more stars in the sky than you can without the night vision. Only thing is I guess they’re pretty expensive for some good ones. Melinda said the pairs we were using were $4000 a piece…

u/Nixplosion (2): Yikes! How much did she charge for this excursion?

u/[deleted] (7): 75/person haha. Also she can only take 10 people at a time and she doesn’t seem to have any problems getting every tour mostly full, my point being why wouldn’t you charge as much as people are willing to pay, and when you have so little room you don’t want 50 people trying to get in every night.

u/Nixplosion (3): Thats perfect! Affordable, smaller more quiet group, thats great!

u/[deleted] (1): I’m she she dies t charge more because she’s not greedy which is rare and she just wants to share and make people aware of what’s going on in our skies Thanks for sharing I’ve always wanted to visit Sedona for all their frequency vortex’s

u/AlwaysBeNice (2): Sounds like a wonderful person with certainly a wonderful job haha. Thanks for sharing

u/[deleted] (1): Yeah she was very interesting and just a nice person. She is also a psychic of some kind and provides readings and things like that as another job.

u/[deleted] (0): So she’s a mental patient con artist, gotcha.

u/[deleted] (3): Well her being a psychic is a whole different subject. You can say what you will about psychics, as I’m sure you’ve never met one, but I can assure you she’s not a mental patient or con artist. That I know for a fact.

u/[deleted] (-4): Yes, she’s just delusional.

u/[deleted] (4): I guess you of all people would know. Just an interesting side note: I actually just got back from seeing a psychic as I’m typing this message. It was a pretty amazing, inspiring, and eye opening experience. I recommend seeing one because obviously you never have. Although with your mindset you would probably attract a fake con-artist. I imagine you would actually hope to just so you can prove your suspicions and boost your ego.

u/[deleted] (-2): Lol. You are just naive.

u/[deleted] (2): Or are you the one who is naive?

u/[deleted] (3): Duh duh duh…

u/turdfire (1): I saw a YouTube video by a guy in California who documents his full-spectrum videos. This one ( https://youtu.be/65YF9-7WAuE ) was pretty interesting. On a side note, I have read elsewhere that some ET masking technology does not work against the lasted IR tech (4th gen?). I’m no expert, nor adorn myself with tin foil. Just a lurker.

u/[deleted] (1): Cool I will check out his videos. The goggles we were using were 3rd gen. I actually found a link to the exact goggles, turns out Melinda sells them on the website. http://sedonanewagestore.com/sedona-visitors/ufo-tours/buy-night-vision-goggles/

u/laowhoo (2): I searched this and something is off. Retail is 2999 and is selling for 1k more than she’s asking. See http://www.nightvisionstore.com/ATN%20PVS7%20Goggle.htm Cheers

u/AussieGST (1): Oh my gosh, NO, She doesn’t does she… ha ha ha it seems to me we have met FELON TRUMPS next wood duck EXTRAORDINAIRE ! or is she to be S.Greer’s next wife? Sucked in once again, i keep on asking where is the video evidence? But just like FELON TRUMP and his tax returns, nadda, nothing, blank, BS meter is getting off the charts here… and by the way I’M A BELIEVER IN extraterrestrial beings and crafts… C’mon people wake up.

u/[deleted] (1): Listening to her on a podcast now she is just crazy lol

u/Opening_Day3740 (1): I watched her interview with Ross Coulthart and was wondering if the night vision goggles are rigged. Like could people bring their own would they see the same thing? No doubt there are many cool things going down in Arizona but I couldn’t help but wonder if it was a scam with the goggles?

u/laowhoo (1): Well, at least you weren’t paying to see angels and didn’t have to resist the urge to attend a sweat lodge. These things will drive the price even higher. But 130. Here’s Leslie explaining the MILAB she referenced above https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOON1vMBTlE in case you’re still reading. In this instance she was abducted by military and handed over to a reptilian who raped and murdered her (by mental projection) in order to impress upon her the importance of desisting her exposure of their operations. As terrifying as she says it all was, she’s still telling everyone. Guess business is good. As for a question put by one of the tour members, “Could it also be a super-secret government spacecraft or an extremely high-altitude drone?” I asked. Melinda dismissed this immediately: “Why would the government do something in secret yet allow us to see it?” She’s also a psychic medium so I suppose I’d expect a better answer than this. Yeah, I’m definitely in the wrong line of work. After all, she still enjoys all this “success” even though the mainstreamers won’t really have anything to do with her. Go figure. And after your “tour” concludes you can bend spoons http://www.meetup.com/Sedona-Spiritual-Metaphysical-Explorers/events/222948799/ Hide the silver.

u/[deleted] (1): I’m extremely confused by your comment to the point where I have no idea wtf you’re trying to say.

u/laowhoo (3): Really? Which part? Did you check out any of the links? And I’ll say this just in case you may have taken any of it personally (you sound a little angry or defensive)…to the very slight extent that I post anything, I try to be informative, for the sake of everyone who might come across the thread. I’m glad you posted—I’d never heard of her, and she’s not exactly well-known in the field. Just trying to help, even tho it might get me downvoted. For instance, I posted a link where you can build your own night vision apparatus for only $130. Maybe some of my references were vague to you? I’d be glad to clear up any confusion.

u/[deleted] (0): No I really am confused by your comment and I did check the links. I was under the impression that you’re trying to make her out to be crazy, sorry if you’re not.

u/laowhoo (2): If put into a corner I’d say that she’s a real opportunist before I’d stoop to calling her crazy. Crazy smart maybe? Trouble with $$ is that it can muddy the waters/make it hard to discern what someone’s motives are, and yes—we’re allowed to ask about that. That’s one reason why Greer is so despised, or why a lotta people resent the players in the recent Roswell Slides fiasco, etc. Ufology as a field is littered with such. Neither do I generally approve of the charlatans of Sedona who, for all their talk and guise and promise of spirituality, smell money first. Guess I’m just not with the times? But no. I try to avoid making conclusive judgments, preferring rather to be as informed and nuanced as possible in my own research, and for that mere profit and entertainment don’t interest me. I’m fine with irony, too, as in the case of your having done this with her so that we here can benefit by it in whatever way we will. It’s up to each of us to do our own work and you’ve helped contribute to that, even though it’s something I disapprove of.

u/[deleted] (1): Ok that makes more sense. I will agree that when someone is charging money for such a service, especially 3000-4000 a pair). Not trying to argue, your thinking is totally rationale and understandable, I’m just explaining mine.

u/laowhoo (3): Yes Gawillamon, as I said, I’m in the wrong business. She’s crazy smart that way, and I am a bit sensitive to separating people from their money. And I AM glad you posted b/c she’s new to me, and my first reaction is to question. It’s what we do here. We also have to be careful how we do it b/c we’re confined to text only, and done poorly people wouldn’t feel free to post about anything. When I saw that she also runs a full-service paranormal station, and has been doing such for over 25 years, well…my ears bled a little. As a side note, a member of my family was involved in James Arthur Ray’s 2009 sweat lodge debacle and has since left that group after avoiding prosecution. I applaud your posting, and even more your willingness to continue the conversation. I’m grateful too, as I’ve wondered about the night vision sightings and will now make a tube to go with our outreach telescope for the kids. Cheers p.s. To those who’d object to my original post with links, just consider the incredulity with which she was met by the investigators who interviewed her. This (her MILAB claim) was hard to swallow even for them.

u/[deleted] (1): [deleted]

u/laowhoo (4): Then I guess you’re better at adding nothing than am I. Howz this? Better? Am I at your level yet? So much for nuance. But I’m sure you’re right—it’s overrated. Simple may be better for you, but fortunately you’re not everyone. Sometimes when someone posts as abruptly, simplistically and dismissively as you’ve just done, I’ll take a look at what their posts are like, and to borrow from a recent post of yours, “No, I’m afraid I can’t keep up. Those of us with mental handicaps tend to say things to make ourselves look better in the eyes of others. It’s important to put down others who disagree with us. Right?” What I wrote may not add anything for you, but that’s not what you’re saying, is it?

u/[deleted] (-2): [deleted]

u/laowhoo (0): Oh no. A truther? You speak for TRUTH? You have a very narrow rendering of that idea. Is this anything like a fact? Can it really all be so simple? And yet you can’t even answer a simple question honestly. Does honesty have anything to do with truth? How about reading comprehension? Is TRUTH stronger or weaker when it’s projected, as when your lack of appreciation means there’s no merit in it for anyone? Maybe there’s some inverse square law operating here. Try blowing a little harder.

u/[deleted] (-2): [deleted]

u/laowhoo (1): Wow. That’s quite a pretzel you’ve twisted. You must be very limber. Have you been to this woman or used night vision to see UFOs? Bent spoons with her or had her read for you? Is there a formula that disinfo agents adhere to that makes you think you know what they sound like, assuming they all sound alike? You really dont know anything about disinfo, do you? Moreover, do you really think that questioning someone’s motives is somehow a disqualification of events that have nothing to do with her only? You’ve really got my attention, but I doubt you’ll answer. Maybe you just don’t want us to think or ask “too” much? You know, rather than make things personal and making me some weird part of your hypothetical paranoia, why not just tell us about MILAB in your own truth-y way?

u/[deleted] (0): She’s crazy. Delusional people believe the bullshit they are talking about.

u/CaerBannog (1): Man, as laowhoo said, you got taken. The whole “money back, oh I’m so disappointed in the conditions tonight, etc” is a neat form of social engineering. Dunno if she is conscious of this or has just hit on it, but it works. She may well believe a lot of this stuff but she is certainly on the make. $75 bucks and ten people a night? Holy shit. Ha ha ha! I bet she gets plenty of takers, too. Oh, and Greer doesn’t do this because this is nickel and dime to him, he is running a scam with the desert sojourns but he charges hundreds. He even has a phone app for christ’s sake, so this broad has nothing on him.

u/vikingv (2): CaerBannog thinks everything should be free, out of the goodness of your heart. Get real bozo. Anybody with a brain would realize that making a living is what everyone must do. Making money,, one way or another, is a requirement for living in this world idiot. Basically, CaerBannog is saying that anyone who makes money is a con artist. It’s faulty logic to the the extreme and self-delutional psycho-babble.

u/laowhoo (3): Caer, you’ve made another fan! You certainly have a way :) What’s more, seems you might have found an editor too, someone who can turn a book into a page. Afraid sales will dip, though.

u/CaerBannog (0): If only I had a dollar for each and every fuckwit I have stirred up. ;)

u/laowhoo (2): That, and no good deed will go unpunished. Giving a shit should be one of the deadly sins. Maybe some day you’ll learn. All I ask is that when you do find a way outa this maze, maybe you let me in on it? I’ve been trying with Zen but am still stuck at that Bodhisattva vow, and all I see is suffering. Must be mine.

u/CaerBannog (0): I’ll leave a trail of crumbs.

u/CaerBannog (1): And tax free!

u/[deleted] (2): Except for the fact that the conditions did kinda suck? It was pretty cloudy, more than 50% of the sky was clouds when she said typically she only goes out when it’s at least 80% clear. Also it was the clearest night the whole week I’ve been here. Every other night has been rainy and cloudy and she said she had to cancel the 6 previous nights. There was a family in the group that had been trying to go for the previous 2 nights. You’re entitled to your doubts, but nonetheless it wasn’t a scam because we sure as hell saw UFOs.

u/CaerBannog (3): she said typically she only goes out when it’s at least 80% clear. She said this. But does she? Pulling 750 a night. Which is good motivation not to film it and take it to meteorologists, astronomers, air traffic control trackers and so on. So why isn’t she changing the world by bringing this to the attention of everyone and science? Wouldn’t you? Holy shit, I could do this two nights a week and sit around on my ass the rest of the week playing video games. I could pay off that equipment cost in no time. Four nights a week during the summer, this is paying off my mortgage!

u/[deleted] (2): I do get what you’re saying and I disagree. She wasn’t doing any kind of psychological manipulation and certainly not by accident. How is telling the truth psychological manipulation? You’re just doubting her because that’s the type of skeptic you are. she might believe her own fantasies As if to say even if she’s telling the truth, it’s bullshit. Like I said, I’ve been here all week and it has been cloudy and rainy. I’m sure she canceled the previous 6 nights just like she said, I would have too. Also for all I know, maybe she has recorded some of these events. She said she reports the more significant sightings. Besides, other people have recorded what we saw. It’s not a new thing by any means. Idk if you saw the other commenters post videos other people have recorded but here you go: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ufolou https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65YF9-7WAuE&feature=youtu.be

u/CaerBannog (1): How is telling the truth psychological manipulation? That depends on what claims we’re talking about. It’s not the things she’s saying, it’s how it is said. And the money. She wasn’t doing any kind of psychological manipulation Sure she is, you describe it clearly. You’re just doubting her because that’s the type of skeptic you are. I’m doubting her because her claims are ludicrous. You didn’t answer my question, do you believe her claims about being a psychic and having telepathic rape by a reptilian? If you don’t, what kind of person do you think would make such claims? There’s more than one answer, of course.

u/[deleted] (0): If someone told me they had been telepathically raped by a reptilian, no I would not believe them initially. The claim is very far fetched. However having met this women and heard what else she has to say, I believe her, because if I doubt one of her claims surely I should doubt the rest so vice versa.

u/[deleted] (0): I’m not really trying to argue with you because I understand your approach to this. What you’re saying makes sense. But in this case I disagree so I’m just defending my own opinion.

u/LiquidC0ax (1): but he charges hundreds thousands FTFY

u/[deleted] (1): No, I’m sure she’s completely conscious of what she’s doing.

u/Rajpank (1): She’s so obviously full of shit, how can you lap this up?!

u/[deleted] (-1): Because I met her and I believe she is genuine. Why do you think she is lying? And what do you think she is lying about? Obviously the UFO tour wasn’t fake.

u/smallkoopatroopa (1): nice ad
